The Puzzle Centre charity promotes and delivers early intervention for very young children with autism or similar communication difficulties and provides training and outreach to families and practitioners throughout the UK.
Puzzle Centre's mission is to ensure that every preschool aged child with autism, or similar communication needs, is offered prompt, appropriate and high quality education, therapy and support. Puzzle Centre has lead the way by setting high standards of early education therapy and support for young children disadvantaged by autism or similar communication disorders. Its successful delivery of pioneering early intervention is both at a local level and nationally, through the dissemination of good practice. Puzzle Centre has been providing high quality, specialised early intervention for young children on the autism spectrum (ASD), or with other communication disorders, since 2001. It has developed considerable expertise in using the SCERTS model to help and support children and families as well as a range of other evidence-based educational techniques and approaches. Puzzle Centre's Patron since 2001 is Rt Hon John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House of Commons who is a long standing supporter. Anna Kennedy OBE joined in April 2014, as Puzzle Centre's first Early Years Autism Ambassador to highlight and give her support to Puzzle Centre’s mission to provide high quality early intervention, education, therapy and support for very young children with autism. In addition to its Specialist Nursery in Buckinghamshire Puzzle Centre offer outreach to families across the UK, when attending the nursery is not possible. |
